Basic Tool Kit
The following list of items is ideal for a basic
miniature tool kit. As time goes on, you will find many other useful
tools to put into your kit.
12" metal ruler with cork backing
#4 lead pencil and pencil sharpener
Xacto knife and #11 blades
Xacto utility knife
Mitre box with fine-toothed saw
Small hammer
Scissors - large, small & curved
Pin vise and drill bits
Tweezers
Needle nose pliers with teeth
Wire cutter
Clamps - plastic, rubber bands, clothespins, bulldog, alligator
Triangle and protractor
Glue - white (Sobo, Aleene's) and super (gel type works well)
Glue Bottle - fine tip
Emery boards
Toothpicks
Q-tips
Sandpaper - #220, #400 and small pieces of well-used sandpaper
Masking tape
Needle and thread
Small paintbrushes and 1" foam brush
Straight pins - preferable glass headed if you can find
Small scredriver and awl set
Bandaids & aspirin or tylenol (pain reliever of choice)
